Two kinds of public philosophy that I’d like to add: 1) Popular or “pop” philosophy, the examination of mass cultural products through a philosophical framework, such as work on Philosophy In The Matrix. 2) In the category of teaching philosophy outside of academia, we have teaching philosophy to incarcerated populations.
